Microsoft Exchange Public Folder Export to PST

  • I need to find a utility that is similar to ExMerge but it deals with Public Folders in an Exchange 2000/2003 environment. This utiltiy must be scriptable, and it must export to a PST that can be opened by an Outlook client. FYI, I want to use this utility to do a poor man's brick level backup of the public folder tree. Please do not tell me about PubMerge. The program was written for 5.5 and it simply does not work. Thanks in advance. You will receive payment only if the program can be scheduled and scripted to run without user intervention.

  • Why not just use ExMerge? It's very scriptable (read the user's manual that comes with it for specific examples), and will backup public folder content. To backup the public folder permissions just use PFDAVAdmin (available for free from the MS download site), which will backup permissions, replication partners, and anything else you can think of.

  • Did you ever find a solution to this?

  • I have increased the amount from $25 to $50, this is incent somebody to give me a specific answer to this question. I appreciate the feedback from the gentlemen that reccomended the slipstick webssite, but I do not have time to demo these products to see if they work or not. Thanks

  • Ok, I just upped the ante again. Hopefully a $100 prize will help find the answer

  • Have you had a look at Slipstick? http://www.slipstick.com/addins/housekeeping.htm
